The Springpoint Senior Living Foundation is the Philanthropic arm of Springpoint Senior Living. Since 1916, the primary purpose of the Foundation has been to raise funds for programs and services that enrich the lives of Springpoint residents and Springpoint communities. Today, the Foundation is one of the largest funders of programs dedicated to making a difference in the lives of seniors throughout the entire state of New Jersey serving seniors of all faiths, at every income level, both those living independently and those receiving care at all levels.
By encouraging charitable giving through a variety of appeals, special events, sponsorship opportunities and gift planning programs, the Foundation is able to support a wide variety of initiatives including the following:
Life-enhancing services and programming that includes transportation programs, medical services supplements such as occupational therapy and physical therapy, chaplaincy programs and Senior net—an affordable housing assisted living program that offers a cost effective alternative to nursing home care.
Resident Assistance for continuing care retirement residents who, through no fault of their own, have exhausted their resources.
Grants Program that gives each of our communities the opportunity to request funding for projects that will meet the special needs of their residents.
Recognizing our social responsibility to the seniors throughout the entire community, the Foundation also supports three community outreach programs:
ENCORE, an arts and cultural initiative that makes world-class arts and culture programming more easily accessible and affordable for everyone. ENCORE is an innovative collaboration between the Foundation and world-class members of the art, dance, music, literature, opera and theatre communities. Under grants from the Foundation, leading arts and culture luminaries present performances, demonstrations, and lectures at Springpoint Senior Living communities and in the community-at-large.
Tomorrow’s Leaders Internship Program, designed to create and inspire the next generation of leaders in senior care. College students are provided an opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the latest policies and practices that affect the needs seniors, their families and professional caregivers. Through this hands-on experience, these individuals are often inspired to consider pursuing a career in the field of senior care.
The Senior Living Institute, an educational resource for seniors, their families and caregivers that addresses topics that can significantly assist them in making the most informed decisions about their health, housing and finance. Monthly forums are presented at each of Springpoint Senior Living's five full-service retirement communities. These are free and open to the public.
